The Epson Stylus SX115 like its predecessors before it offers the functionality of three machines in compact glossy black case. As of a basic inkjet printer the SX115 performs well but where it really shines is in the role of a photo printer and photo. It’s built-in memory card reader means you can print directly from a memory cards or from a suitable digital camera via the PictBridge connection. The scanner has a maximum resolution of 1,200dpi and come with software that enables removal of red eye from photos in addition to OCR software for converting printed text documents. Epson SX115 ink cartridges consist of four colour printer ink cartridges which feature DURABrite Ultra printer ink, an ink technology that produces prints that are touch dry, resistant to water, smudging and fading as soon as they leave the printer. Retailers offer Epson ink cartridges for the Stylus SX115 as individual colours or as a full set multi-pack. Overall the Stylus SX115 is a good all rounder although one thing that lets it down is the speed in which it prints which is considerably slower than what Epson claim.
